L&T’s Metallurgical and Material Handling (L&T-MMH) business has secured orders worth Rs 1,242 crore during Q4 of FY15.
It has won EPC (engineering, procurement and construction) orders from SENAAT General Holding Corporation, Abu Dhabi, for its 2,40,000 TPA pipe mill project and 20,000 TPA seamless copper tube plant project.
The finished products from these plants will cater to the requirements of the oil & gas and utilities industries.
Shailendra Roy, Whole-time Director, L&T, said, "The orders won from SENAAT are clear signs of opening of international market in the metallurgical segment.”
In the domestic arena, L&T-MMH has won orders from HPCL-Mittal Energy and other add-on packages from existing customers.
