Luminous Power Technologies is set to expand its manufacturing facility by adding three more assembly lines to its plants located in Himachal Pradesh.
The company is a part of the French major Schneider Electric.
Sudhir Kalla, President-Sales, said the company is enhancing the manufacturing capability of its inverters and batteries for UPS systems with an outlay of about Rs 75 crore.
Addressing a media conference today, he said the company is finding it tough to increase sales due to capacity constraints.
“Therefore, we have taken up this expansion project at the existing sites and expect to complete them within six months. Last year, we closed with revenues of Rs 1,250 crore and are looking at an overall growth of about 50-60 per cent this year,’’ he said.
Luminous Power has facilitated its channel partners for their outstanding performance.
Those selected are being rewarded with Hyundai cars — Verna, i20 and Eon. The company plans to distribute about 55 cars to the dealers apart from other rewards including trips.
