Simhapuri Energy Private Ltd, part of Madhucon Projects Ltd is ready for synchronisation of Phase-1 of its 300 MW power unit at Nellore in Andhra Pradesh.
The construction is completed and the unit has received start-up power from Power Grid Corporation Ltd, according to a press release from the company.
The Phase-2 of 300 MW is planned to be commissioned by August, 2012.
Simhapuri Energy has also applied fro clearances of Phase-III of 1,320 MW and hopes to start the commissioning activity by the third or fourth quarter of 2012.
Madhucon Projects is setting up a 1,920-MW coal-based power project near Nellore.
The infrastructure company has an order book of around Rs 6,500 crore.
