Mahindra Two Wheelers H1 sales cross 58,000 vehicles

Mahindra Two Wheelers Ltd, a part of the $15.4-billion Mahindra Group, has sold 58,689 vehicles on a cumulative basis between April and September 2012. Comparative figures for the same period of last year were not disclosed. The two-wheeler maker’s standalone sales in September touched 8,122 units, the company said in a statement, adding the company’s sales crossed four lakh units. “Today, Mahindra has a rich legacy of manufacturing powerful, reliable and stylish vehicles designed specifically for Indian roads. With the onset of the festive season, we are expecting buoyancy in the market to be restored which will drive growth for the new offerings of Mahindra Two Wheelers,” Viren Popli, executive vice-president (Strategy and Market Development) Mahindra Two Wheelers, said. “An aggressive marketing plan has been lined up to ensure this,” he added. Mahindra has a range of two-wheelers comprising 125cc scooters, Duro DZ, Rodeo RZ and the Flyte.
