Mahindra World City, Jaipur, has signed a lease agreement with the Brazilian firm Perto S.A., a global manufacturer of automatic tellers machines (ATMs) and cash dispensing machines (CDMs) to set up a latest manufacturing plant in Jaipur.
Perto, which is the first FDI customer for Mahindra World City, Jaipur, will set up its first fully integrated manufacturing facility in India on 26 acres within the domestic tariff area (DTA).
The initial investment in the new facility, which will provide employment to 1,000 people, is pegged at Rs 200 crore.
Roberto Baur, Director, Perto India, said that this if for the first time in 25 years that the company has decided to take its manufacturing operations outside of Brazil.
Perto is a subsidiary of the Digicon Group and based in Gravatai Brazil. It is one of the biggest exporters of ATMs and CDMs and exports its products to 30 countries.
