Fast fashion has emerged an important segment in the Indian retail industry. This segment has become a favourite of malls.
Trend towards fast fashion can be seen in consumers buying pattern, on an average they are buying apparel eight to ten times a year now as compared to a few years ago, when it was lesser than half a dozen times, said a press release quoting Pankaj Renjhen, Managing Director – Retail Services, JLL India. To tap this segment, mall developers have begun to allocate prime spaces to fast fashion retailers, according to Renjhen.
