United Breweries Ltd (UBL) said its promoters Vijay Mallya has pledged 1,04,86,666 shares of the total 1,06,35,999 shares (4.023 per cent of the total share capital).
In a filing to the exchanges, UBL said shares were encumbered on August 30. Now, after creation of encumbrance, Mallya holds 1,49,333 shares (0.056 per cent of the total share capital).
The company, in another filing to the exchanges, said its promoters Vijay Mallya and Sidhartha V. Mallya had also pledged their entire holding 1,04,64,288 shares (3.958 per cent of the total share capital). The shares were encumbered on August 30.
