Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd (M&M) has sold 44,002 vehicles in February, a 16 per cent rise from the 38,030 units sold during the same month a year ago.
The company’s passenger vehicles segment (which includes utility vehicles, cars and vans) sold 23,718 units in February, a 26 per cent increase on 18,817 vehicles sold during the comparable month in 2015, M&M said in a statement.
“At Mahindra we are happy to have achieved overall growth of 16 per cent in February on the back of a strong performance by our range of passenger and commercial vehicles,” said Pravin Shah, President and Chief Executive (Automotive), M&M.
The company’s domestic sales stood at 41,348 units in February (34,918 units), while the medium and heavy commercial vehicles segment sold 479 units. The company’s exports for the reporting month stood at 2,654 units.
