Auto-maker Mahindra & Mahindra's Nashik plant has resumed operations post the containment of the fire break-out.
The plant resumed normal operation from the second shift, the company said in a statement on Thursday.
The Satpur plant, which manufactures utility vehicles such as Scorpio and Bolero, had caught fire on Wednesday in the early morning hours.
The fire lasted for five hours from 5:45 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. and had affected the Scorpio/Xylo TCF lines of Nasik Plant 1 manufacturing unit. No one was injured in the fire.
The plant works in two shifts and has a production capacity of 500 vehicles a day.
In a statement to the exchanges on Wednesday, the company had said, “The production loss in the first shift is estimated to be around 250 vehicles.
“The management expects to restart the Bolero and Verito lines fully and the Scorpio line partially from the second shift onwards.”
Mahindra & Mahindra's scrip was up about one per cent on the BSE on Thursday to Rs 661.25 a share.
The BSE Auto index was down by one per cent.
