Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd has launched ‘Big Bolero Pik-up’ with longer cargo body length of nine feet and with a payload capacity of 1,500 kg, offering superior value proposition to its customers.
Raising the benchmark with stylish looks and comfortable cabin, the Big Bolero Pik-up retains the core values of the erstwhile range — tough and rugged DNA, and low maintenance. It is priced at ₹6.34 lakh for BS-3 ex-showroom and ₹6.49 lakh for BS-4 ex-showroom.
Commanding a market share of 69 per cent in the financial year 2016 in the pick-up segment which accounted for a total volume of 1.26 lakh, the automotive major Mahindra expects to gain further share during FY 2017 with the launch of this long-bodied pick up range. Launching the new range here, Jyoti Malhotra, Vice-President, Sales, Auto Division, said: “After couple of subdued years, the market for commercial vehicles is picking up. The prediction of good monsoon and the government’s efforts to boost the country’s agriculture sector, are expected to add to the sales of CV segment.” Referring to the Uday 360 degree, a customer relationship programme of Mahindra, he said, “It was aimed at enhancing the ownership value. And the Milaap initiative helps bring together stakeholders on a common platform to help boost their business.”
Manufactured at the Mahindra’s Kandivali Plant, in addition to the 1,250 kg and 1,500 kg variants, the new pick up is being offered in CBC (Cowl Body chassis) variant which will help the customers to build the cargo body according to their need and application. It comes with three years unlimited kilometres warranty for BS-3 variants, and one year unlimited kilometres warranty for BS-4 variants.
The company executive said the new range has a much lower operating and maintenance cost and requires an oil change only after every 10,000 km and gear oil change after every 40,000 km.
