Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M) has sold more than one lakh pick-up trucks in the domestic market during the financial year 2013.
It sold 1,02,885 vehicles, a 41 per cent increase from 73,134 units during the same period a year ago.
“Today Mahindra has the widest range in this segment to cater to the varied needs of cargo transportation,” said Pravin Shah, Chief Executive (Automotive Sector) at M&M.
At present, the pick-up segment in India sells more than 15,000 vehicles per month, and M&M has 54 per cent market share. The company sells has four brands - Bolero Maxi Truck, Bolero Pick Up, Bolero Camper and Genio – in the domestic market.
