Mahindra & Mahindra will launch its compact sports utility vehicle TUV300 on September 10 from its Chakan plant in Maharashtra.
The TUV3OO (pronounced as TUV, 3 double ‘O’) is a sub four-metre vehicle and will compete with Ford EcoSport, Hyundai’s newly-launched Creta and Renault’s Duster. In India, compact SUV accounts for about 40 per cent of the total utility vehicle (UV) market.
“We are confident that this product launch will create excitement in the market as well as amongst our customers,” said Pravin Shah, President and Chief Executive (Automotive) at M&M.
An all new platform, the TUV300 will be powered by an advanced hi-tech mHawk engine. The company is also gearing up to launch five new vehicles in this financial year.
