Mahindra & Mahindra’s Farm Equipment Sector sold 19,389 units in the domestic market in January, an 18 per cent rise from 16,402 units sold during the same month a year ago.
The company’s overall sales have also grown by 15 per cent to 20,109 units in January 2014.
“We have achieved a cumulative domestic growth of 23 per cent till January 2014. This is primarily due to a bumper Kharif crop and the anticipation of a good Rabi crop. We expect the good run to continue for the rest of the quarter,” Rajesh Jejurikar, Chief Executive, Tractor and Farm Mechanisation at M&M, said.
