Mahindra and Mahindra has reported 11.21 per cent increase in total tractor sales at 25,599 units for May.
The homegrown auto major had sold 23,018 units in the same month last year, the company said in a statement today.
Domestic sales were at 24,575 units against 22,148 units in the year-ago month, up 10.95 per cent.
Exports during the month stood at 1,024 units against 870 units in the same month last year, up 17.7 per cent.
Mahindra and Mahindra President Farm Equipment Sector Rajesh Jejurikar said: “We hope that the announcement of record production estimates for major crops, coupled with higher MSP, will drive positive sentiments and boost tractor demand in this season.”
