Jagadish Bhat has taken over as the Head of Management of MAN Trucks India Pvt Ltd with effect from August 8.
Jagadish Bhat succeeds Stefan Holzmann, who is moving to MAN Truck and Bus in Germany after a four-year stint in India. Since MAN’s takeover of Force Motors’ stake in MAN Force Trucks joint venture in March, the company is its subsidiary.
Operating in India since 2006, MAN Truck & Bus produces trucks in the CLA series for the Indian market and for selected African and Asian markets.
The company also developed the new bus model Airobus, which it presented at the Delhi Auto Expo this January.
The vehicles are manufactured at the company's own plant in Pithampur with up to 90 per cent local content. The plant employs over 1,100 people.
Jagadish Bhat was born in Mangalore, India, and studied mechanical engineering. Before joining MAN, he was Managing Director of HYVA India Pvt. Ltd.
