After working for almost two decades with PepsiCo, Manu Anand has joined Cadbury India as Managing Director and Mondelez International (Cadbury Kraft) as President, India and South Asia. Anand was formerly the Chairman and CEO, PepsiCo India.
Faced with charges of excise duty and tax evasion cases, Cadbury India has initiated a change in its top management. As part of the appointment, Manu Anand will also be part of the Asia Pacific leadership team and will sit on the Mondelez International Leadership Council.
Manu Anand is to replace Anand Kripalu who led the business for eight years. Kripalu has decided to pursue an assignment outside the business, the company said in a statement.
Pradeep Pant, Executive Vice President, Mondelez International said Manu Anand joins the business with extensive snacking experience and is set to lead the India business, which is one of the most critical markets for Mondelez International globally.
Mondelez International is a global snacking company, with a revenue of $35 billion in 2012. Notable brands are Cadbury Dairy Milk, Oreo biscuits and Tang beverages.
