PepsiCo India said on Thursday that Manu Anand, President for the India Region, has decided to quit the company. This announcement comes just a day after rival Coca-Cola elevated Atul Singh as Deputy President, Pacific Group.
In a statement, PepsiCo India said that Anand has decided to join another company without giving specific details about his future assignment. “His successor will be announced in due course,” the statement added.
He took over as the Chairman of PepsiCo’s India Region in January 2011. He was responsible for the company’s beverage and foods businesses in India and South Asian region except Pakistan. Anand joined PepsiCo in 1994 as the Chief Financial Officer at Frito-Lay India. In 1998, he assumed the role of Managing Director of Frito-Lay Business of PepsiCo India Holdings Ltd.
