Marg Ltd has won a Rs 237.58 crore EPC contract from Bhavnagar Energy Company Ltd (BECL) in Gujarat.
According to a press release from Marg, the work order includes a sea water intake, outfall and circulating water system for a 500 MW lignite-based thermal power plant at Padva, Bhavnagar, Gujarat.
BECL is promoted by a group of PSUs in Gujarat including Gujarat Power Corporation Ltd, Gujarat State Investments Ltd, Gujarat Mineral Development Corporation Ltd, Gujarat Industries Power Company Ltd, Gujarat Alkalies and Chemicals Ltd, Gujarat Narmada Valley Fertilizers Company Ltd and Gujarat State Fertilizers & Chemicals Ltd.
The release quoting, Mr G.R.K. Reddy, Chairman and Managing Director, Marg, said, “We are consolidating our presence in the EPC sector through strategic international alliances. Marg’s domain expertise in port, marine infrastructure, industrial EPC and other infrastructure projects will add value for the successful completion and on-time delivery of this project.”
