Sun TV Network Ltd has reported a marginal growth in net profit at ₹166 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2014, against ₹164 crore reported for the corresponding quarter in the previous year. Revenues, including the IPL (Sun Risers Hyderabad) revenue of ₹113 crore, were up over five per cent at ₹634 crore for the quarter, from ₹602 crore last year. The company’s board has recommended an interim dividend of (45 per cent) ₹2.25 per share of ₹5. A press release from the company says advertisement revenue for the quarter was marginally up at ₹280 crore. Subscription revenues continue to maintain a significant uptrend with cable TV revenues growing by around 15 per cent and direct-to-home subscription revenue growing by around 21 per cent over the same quarter last year. Earnings per share stood at ₹4.20 at the end of the quarter against ₹4.17 in the same period last year.
