Singareni Collieries Company Ltd has produced 60.59 million tonnes of coal from its mines as on March 28 this fiscal against 60.38 million tonnes during the financial year ended March 31, 2016, thereby marginally surpassing the coal output of last year.
The state-owned mining company has dispatched 58.12 million tonnes as on March 28 last year against 60.21 mt during this fiscal as on date.
The mining company also recorded a new high of production on a single day on March 28 at 2.45 lakh tonnes against the previous high of 2.4 lt achieved on March 10, 2017, and dispatched 43 rakes of coal against a previous high of 41 rakes on a single day recorded during February 28.
