FMCG company Marico has reported a 17 per cent jump in consolidated net profit at ₹185.27 crore for the first quarter. Consolidated net income increased by 17.55 per cent from ₹1396.31 crore to ₹1641.45 crore. “The topline was driven by an overall volume growth of 5 per cent with a 6.5 per cent volume growth in India. The domestic business recorded a growth of 28 per cent, while the international business posted a growth of 16 per cent," said the company in a statement. The shares of Marico on Monday were down by 1.70 per cent and closed at ₹256.60.
