FMCG major Marico Ltd today said its consolidated net profit declined by 4.07 per cent to Rs 69.48 crore for the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2012.
The company had posted a net profit of Rs 72.43 crore in the same period of the previous fiscal, Marico said in a filing to the BSE.
Net sales rose to Rs 917.71 crore from Rs 746.76 crore.
For the year ended March 31, 2012, the company posted a net profit of Rs 322.06 crore compared with Rs 291.44 crore in the previous fiscal.
Net sales rose to Rs 3,996.81 crore from Rs 3,125.95 crore.
The board of directors has approved a second interim dividend of Re 0.40 per share of Re 1 for the financial year 2011-12.
Shares of Marico were trading at Rs 176.80 on the BSE, down 1.70 per cent from the previous close.
