Car market leader Maruti Suzuki India (MSIL) on Saturday said it has sold a total of 1,21,712 units in July, a growth of 20 per cent, as compared to the same month last year.
The company sold 1,10,405 units last month in the domestic market as compared to 90,093 units in July 2014. It exported 11,307 units during the month versus 11,287 units in the corresponding month last year.
The sales growth was led by the mini and compact segments at 31 per cent and 14 per cent respectively.
The mini (Alto, Wagon R) grew from 28,759 units to 37,752 units YoY. Similarly, the compact segment (Swift, Celerio) grew to 48,381 units last month versus 42,491 units in July 2014.
