Car market leader Maruti Suzuki has launched Nexa Service, which will promise premium car service to its customers.
The first Nexa Service workshop has been inaugurated in Gurugram in the National Capital Region. It will be expanded to other locations in phases, according to a statement.
Nexa is Maruti’s exclusive dealership chain to sell premium cars. Cars such as Baleno, Ignis, S-Cross and Ciaz are sold through Nexa outlets. Presently, Nexa outlets account for about 15 per cent of its sales.
There are currently 260 Nexa showrooms and Maruti has planned to increase it to 300 by end of this fiscal.
“The Nexa Service workshops will have high degree of automation, express bays, premium waiting lounges with digital signage, among other facilities. These workshops will have high level of automation,” according to RS Kalsi, Executive Director (sales & marketing), Maruti Suzuki India Ltd.
As far as emergency services are concerned, Nexa will provide on ground support services. Also, it will offer vehicle pick up and drop services.
The premium service is not restricted only to customers who bought cars from Nexa showrooms, but also to customers of other dealerships.
Recently, Maruti moved sale of its mid-size sedan Ciaz to Nexa showrooms. Service support for Ciaz will be offered at both workshops depending on the customers choice.
Maruti officials indicated that its strategy to make a mark in premium vehicle segment was working well.
Over 50 per cent of people who came to Nexa showrooms were first time buyers who had not purchased Maruti Suzuki vehicles before. Considering that, we have indeed achieved a milestone in providing premium vehicles to our customers, said Kalsi.
