Car market leader Maruti Suzuki India sold 1,03,719 units in March in the domestic market as compared with 1,02,269 units in the same period last year.
In the mini segment (Alto, Wagon R), the company sold 40,159 units during the month as compared with 40,085 units in March 2014.
However, in the compact segment (Swift, Ritz) sales fell to 38,710 units in March as against 44,251 units in the same month last year.
The company's exports also fell to 7,836 units last month as compared with 11,081 units in March 2014.
Overall, company’s total sales in 2014-15 stood at 12,92,415 units (against 11,55,041 in 2013-14 ), the company said, adding that this was the highest annual sale ever for the company.
The previous high was achieved in 2010-11, when it sold 12,71,005 units.
Domestic sales in 2014-15, at 11,70,702 units, was also the highest ever for the company.
