Maruti Suzuki India, the country’s largest car manufacturer, has reported a 12.56 per cent fall in sales to 84,455 vehicles in June 2013 compared with 96,597 units sold during the same month a year ago.
The New Delhi-based company exported a total of 7,453 vehicles during the month, a 43 per cent fall from 13,066 units exported during the same month a year ago, the company said in a statement.
The company’s domestic sales fell 7.8 per cent to 77,002 vehicles (83,531 units) during the month, it added.
Sales of its utility vehicles fell 11.4 per cent to 4,997 vehicles (5,638) during the month under review, while sales of vans dipped 1.2 per cent to 6,833 units (6,916).
