Maruti Suzuki India (MSIL) on Thursday said the company sold a total (domestic + exports) of 95,145 units in December 2012, up by three per cent from 92,161 in same month the previous year.
In the domestic market, the company sold 82,073 units during the month, up by six per cent, compared to 77,475 in December 2011.
However, its exports went down by 12 per cent to 13,072 units in December 2012 from 14,686 units in same month a year ago, it said.
Meanwhile, Suzuki Motorcycle India (SMIPL) said it registered a 24 per cent increase in sales with 33,753 units in December as compared to 27,244 units in December 2011.
“We have received a good response from the market for all our products. The growing customer satisfaction has led to positive word-of-mouth in the market,” Atul Gupta, Vice President - Sales and Marketing, SMIPL said.
