Maruti Suzuki India on Wednesday said its auto gear shift (AGS) option is now available in the top-end ZXi+ and ZDi+ variants of its best seller Swift, priced at ₹7.76 lakh and ₹7.86 lakh respectively (ex-showroom).
Maruti Suzuki had launched the third generation of its iconic brand – Swift at the Auto Expo in February. The all-new Swift comes with a new design, enhanced performance and advanced passenger safety and pedestrian safety. At the launch, AGS transmission was offered in VXI, ZXI, VDI and ZDI variants.
“Swift has always scored high on customers’ expectations. With the latest evolution, the all-new Swift has reached the next level of customer delight. AGS has been very well appreciated by our Swift customers. We had customer feedback seeking convenience of AGS in the high-selling top-end variants,” RS Kalsi, Senior Executive Director (Marketing & Sales), MSIL, said.
Accordingly, the company is now offering AGS in the top-end ZXI+ and ZDI+ variants, he said. "This will further strengthen the brand Swift and enhance the popularity of Maruti Suzuki’s acclaimed two-pedal technology," Kalsi added. Since its launch in 2005, cumulatively Swift has sold over 1.9 million units in India, MSIL said.
