McNally Bharat Engineering Ltd has bagged another order from Gammon India.
The order, valued at Rs 63.85 crore, is for a “supply package” for the Kolkata Metro Railways.
The package relates to three stations on the Rs 2,619-crore Joka-BBD Bag corridor of the city Metro Railways. The construction work for first phase (southern stretch) of the corridor is under way. The package has to be installed within 20 months, according to Mr Prabir Ghosh, McNally Bharat, Whole-time Director.
McNally Bharat has already obtained the order for construction work for the three stations in the southern leg. The stations would be at Behala Bazar, Taratala and Majerhat.
The cost of building the three stations, to be complete by 23 months, is Rs 81.11 crore.
Mr Ghosh, who is also Group CFO, said the current order book position of the company, its subsidiary and two separate technology-centered groups has reached Rs 4,837 crore.
In terms of contribution of the business sectors towards its order book, Power was at the top. Infrastructure including oil & gas related construction/erection and steel, mines and port-connected works were other major contributors.
