McNally Bharat Engineering Company said on Wednesday that it has bagged a Rs 122 crore contract from Steel Authority of India’s Bhilai Steel Plant.
“The company have received an order from Bhilai Steel Plant for external water system for mills and fire water pumphouse... at a price of Rs 121.75 crore,” McNally Bharat Engineering Company said in a filing to the BSE.
The contract is a part of steel mill’s modernisation and expansion plan, it said.
Bhilai Steel Plant is India’s sole producer of rails and heavy steel plates and major producer of structural.
BSP’s modernisation is underway as part of SAIL’s about Rs 70,000 crore expansion plan to take capacity to about 23 million tonne (MT) by next year from the existing about 14 MT.
McNally Bharat Engineering Company is engaged in providing turnkey solutions in the areas of power, steel, aluminium, material handling, coal washing and mineral beneficiation, among others.
