Megha Engineering and Infrastructures Ltd on Sunday flagged off the critical equipment developed for ONGC’s hydrocarbon project coming up in Assam.

A.K. Hazarika, Director-Onshore, ONGC, flagged off the equipment. This contract is a part of the Rs 2,400-crore Assam Renewal Project.

The company’s manufacturing unit is located in Jeedimetla, Hyderabad. After visiting the site, the ONGC official expressed support for the project.

P. Doraiah, Director-Hydrocarbon, MEIL, informed that the project is in an advance stage of implementation and is aimed at supporting ONGC’s requirements for a hydrocarbon project.

Megha Engineering has manufactured the heat treatment equipment and bath heaters, both considered critical items.

In the next one month, about 100 more equipment for various assemblies, being developed at the factory here, will be sent to the Assam project.

MEIL Chairman, P.P. Reddy, its Managing Director, P.V. Krishna Reddy, and other senior members from ONGC took part in the programme where the equipment was delivered.

Megha Engineering is acting as an EPC player in the oil and natural gas domain. It has developed competencies in hydrocarbon engineering, one of the rapidly growing areas in the country.
