Mercedes-Benz India has launched the new ‘Edition C’ to celebrate the sale of 10 million cars of the C-Class family world over. A limited number of 500 units of the car will be available for the Indian market.
Eberhard Kern, Managing Director & CEO, Mercedes-Benz India, said: “The C-Class remains one of Mercedes-Benz’ best-sellers in the competitive entry level luxury sedan segment. We are excited to present the ‘Edition C’ with its sporty exterior and specially designed luxurious interiors to Indian customers.”
The exterior features include AMG body styling with front and rear apron and side sill panels, a radiator grille with the centrally positioned star, an ‘Edition C’ badge on the wings and dark-tinted headlamps.
The car has safety features like drowsiness detection, brake assist system, acceleration skid control, electronic stability programme, crash responsive pedals and tyre pressure loss warning, among others.
Its 4-cylinder, 2,143-cc diesel engine with 7G-Tronic Plus automatic transmission, has a rated output of 125 kW @ 3000-4200 rpm and a rated torque of 400 Nm @ 1400-2800 rpm.
