Mercedes-Benz India on Tuesday launched the new generation C-Class priced at Rs 40.9 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi).
Defining new benchmarks in its segment, the new C-Class adopts a progressive approach with its emotional design idiom, technological advancement, and high-class interiors, the company said.
"The all-new C-Class will be available in the C 200 Avantgarde variant, in dealerships across India," Eberhard Kern, Managing Director & CEO, Mercedes-Benz India, said here at the launch.
He said the C-Class is a best-seller that has been a trendsetter in its segment and this remains true for the new C-Class as well.
"It interprets a new standard in modern luxury and its contemporary design idiom showcases the automotive passion of our designers. The new C-Class comes to the starting line with qualities usually reserved for higher-class automobiles ecologically, technologically and also with regard to comfort and driving pleasure," he said.
The new C-Class joins the latest generations of the E- and S-Class to create the youngest and most wide-ranging saloon line-up of any automaker globally, Kern said.
The four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine with direct injection is one of the most fuel-efficient petrol engines in the C-Class-segment with a fuel efficiency of 14.74 km per litre, the company said.
