Mercedes Benz has beefed up its road side assistance fleet and added a series of initiatives such as setting up a National Remote Diagnostic Centre, and facilitating online service booking on smartphones and tablets to enhance the ownership experience for its customers.
“Mercedes-Benz India is committed to a superlative service and after-sales programmes to provide our customers a fascinating experience of owning the Three Pointed Star car,” Eberhard Kern, MD and CEO, Mercedes Benz India said.
With the National Remote Diagnosis Centre (NRDC), technical experts in Mercedes’ plant in Pune can assist technicians anywhere in India to diagnose problems faster using high-end technology.
To give quicker, better and road side assistance, the company has added 20 B-Class service support vehicles to its fleet. The On-Road Assistance programme offers round-the-clock breakdown assistance for three years as a standard offering.
With features such as a vehicle towage service, a pick-up from the location, accommodation, onward/return travel and medical and legal consultation as required, the retail On-Road Assistance programme can be extended for another two years for Rs 3,499 per year.
