Mercedes rolls out ₹1.6-crore SUV

It costs a cool ₹1.66 crore and is the latest addition to Mercedes Benz’s AMG series. The GL 63 AMG was launched here on Tuesday with Eberhard Kern, Managing Director & CEO of the Indian arm, doing the honours. This ‘powerwhelming’ SUV, as Mercedes calls it, is fitted with a 5.5-litre engine and can hit 100kph in a mere 4.9 seconds. It comes with a three-year warranty.
