Mercedes-Benz India has sold Mercedes-Benz sold 3,420 units during July-Sep 2015 versus 2,812 units in the same period of last year, notching a growth 22%.
During the nine-month period ending September 30, the German luxury car maker registered 34% growth delivering 10,079 cars to its customers against 7529 units during Jan-Sep 2014. This growth was enabled by a product portfolio comprising the New Generation Cars, the sedans, the SUVs and the AMG performance cars. The sedan portfolio emerged stronger by 39% in the first nine months of this year.
Roland Folger, Managing Director & CEO, Mercedes-Benz India said in a statement, “We sold almost the entire 2014 volumes in first nine months of 2015. I am glad to see the India strategy is bearing fruits, and we are well poised for entering Q4 with a very strong footing.”
The success of the first three quarters had been in line with the company’s expectations and MBI is confident of achieving its target of a sustainable double digit growth, he said.
Since January, MBI has launched 12 new products (of 15 announced for the year) and inaugurated 13 new outlets taking its network to 80 outlets across 39 cities. It is expected to launch the new GLE (the former M-Class) on October 14.
