German luxury car-maker Mercedes Benz unveiled its new E-Class in a media preview at Bekal in Kerala.
The new car has 2,000 new or redesigned components, Carsten A. Bauer, General Manager, (Product Management), said. It is 11mm longer and 10 mm higher than the previous avatar.
The new-look front has two LED elements that accentuate the ‘4-eyed’ look of the all-LED headlamps, and the logo has, for the first time, been integrated in the lamella radiator grille. Both symbolise the new design idiom.
The features of the new diesel car that comes with eight airbags include a total displacement of 2143, 7 forward gears, parking assist, reversing camera, eco start stop, and a host of intelligent assistance systems.
The fourth new product to be launched this year in what Mercedes Benz is terming as the year of the offensive, the price of the new E-Class is to be announced tomorrow.
