Mercedes-Benz today launched its flagship Mercedes-AMG S63 sedan in India today, making this the 9th offering of the luxury car maker’s performance brand in the country.
The fully customised luxury vehicle comes at a price of Rs 2.53 crore (ex-showroom, Bengaluru).
A lightweight construction, a 5.5-litre V8 bi-turbo engine that delivers 430 kW (585 hp) and 900 Nm of torque, the new flagship model from Mercedes AMG can achieve 0-100 kmph in 4.4 seconds.
“The new AMG V8 flagship model in the S-Class is a unique package that has no match in the competitive segment. Path breaking technology like Magic Body Control and a gamut of high-end features makes the Mercedes-AMG S 63 one of the most desirable luxury sedans in our range,” Eberhard Kern, Managing Director & CEO, Mercedes-Benz India said in a statement. This was a fine instance of MBI’s successful ‘top of the pyramid’ product strategy, he added.
The AMG S-63 is the tenth new product of a total of 15 that will be launched this year in the Indian market in 2015.
