A minor accident took place in the steel melt shop-1 of Visakhapatnam Steel Plant on Sunday, according to a press release issued on Monday.
An employee suffered minor injuries on account of spillage/ splashing while slag was being drained out from convertor-b. The convertor was shut down.
The other two convertors are functioning normally. Work has not been hampered, adds the release.
