Moser Baer Clean Energy Limited (MBCEL) has commissioned a 5 MW solar park at Trefullock, Southern England, UK. A park of this capacity in this region requires an investment of around £15 million , industry observers said.
“This solar farm will generate approximately 5 million units of clean energy annually. Spread over 18 hectares, this solar park was completed in 9 weeks,” the company said in a statement.
The farm was commissioned on August 28. This solar installation has been developed in partnership with HEP Capital. Bosch Solar Energy, a leading solar PV module manufacturer, had undertaken construction on EPC basis (planning, delivering and monitoring the system) of this project.
Mr Lalit Jain, Chief Operating Officer, MBCEL, said, “This is the first time an Indian company has acquired a solar farm in Great Britain. We appreciate the efforts put in by HEP Capital and Bosch Solar Energy towards timely commissioning of this solar park.”
With this plant, MBCEL now has operating power plants in Germany, UK, Italy and India. “We are constructing several other plants and expect to commission additional solar parks in Germany, Italy and India in the coming months,” he added
