Tyre maker MRF has reported a 67.09 per cent increase in standalone net profit at Rs 150.13 crore for the second quarter ended March 31, 2012.
The company had posted a net profit of Rs 89.85 crore in the same period last year, MRF said in a filing to the BSE.
Total income from operations during the second quarter also went up by 25.55 per cent to Rs 2,992.80 crore from Rs 2,383.79 crore in the year-ago period.
Shares of the company were trading 1.04 per cent down at Rs 11,318 a piece in the afternoon trade on the BSE.
