Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Ltd (MRPL) conducted a campaign on digital payments and cashless transactions at its colony in Mangaluru recently.
A press release said here on Friday that a help desk has been set up at the shopping complex in the colony for downloading mobile app for digital payment and resolution of query.
Adequate training has been imparted to shop owners at the shopping complex to use mobile applications such as BHIM (Bharat Interface for Money) for receiving digital payments. Workshops for employees and their family members were also organised to explain the useof e-wallets.
The company switched to electronic mode of payment for its vendors and contractors a few years back, it said.
