Murudeshwar Ceramics Ltd has posted Rs 0.24 crore profit on a standalone basis for the first quarter (Q1) this fiscal compared with Rs 0.11 crore recorded in the same period last year. Revenues for Q1 were flat, up just 1.69 per cent at Rs 35.32 crore (Rs 34.73 crore in year-ago period). The EPS was Rs 0.07 as compared with Rs 0.03 recorded last year. The company said its performance was affected by the closure of buildings, plant and machinery in Hubli and Bangalore for renovation work. —
