Italy-based high-performance super bikes maker MV Agusta is planning to launch limited edition of its Mercedes-AMG branded racing super bikes F3RC and F4RC models in India in October this year.
Out of the limited edition of 250 units globally, only a handful of the premium super bikes will be made available in India. Notably, Mercedes-AMG holds 25 per cent stake in MV Agusta.
"India will be allotted only 10 such AMG-branded F3RCs and 2 units of F4RCs in October this year. Each will be priced at Rs 19 lakh and Rs 50 lakh, respectively. Since these are limited edition models branded with Mercedes-AMG, there is much excitement among the bikers," said Ajinkya Firodia, managing director, MV Agusta India, which is in the exclusive tie-up with MV Agusta to sell its premium bikes in India.
The owners of the Kinetic Group, Firodia plans to sell around 250 luxury bikes from MV Agusta stable during this fiscal.
"We launched our first showroom in May. And so far we have sold 25 premium bikes in India. As we are opening showrooms in Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi and Mumbai, we see more sales taking place in coming months," said Firodia during the launch of the second showroom of MV Agusta in Ahmedabad after Pune under Motoroyale initiative under Kinetic group.
Kinetic sells MV Agusta luxury bikes in the country as completely built units (CBUs), completely knocked down kits (CKDs) and semi knocked down kits (SKDs), which are assembled at Kinetic's plant in Ahmednagar.
