myGate, a Bengaluru-based start-up that offers mobile-based security management solutions for gated communities and apartment complexes, is planning to expand its services to five more cities in the next two years, covering 20 lakh homes.
It will provide its services in Pune, Mumbai and the National Capital Region this year.
The service, presently available in Bengaluru and Hyderabad, seeks to minimise the hassles that visitors at the entrances and exits of gated communities and apartment complexes face.
Announcing the expansion plans at a press conference here on Tuesday, co-founder and Vijay Arisetty said the firm has opened a 15-member facility at T-Hub to serve the local market. It has a team of 55 employees in Bengaluru.
“While visitors and delivery boys are forced to spend a lot of time clearing security checks, the communities face security concerns as footfalls have gone up significantly,” he said.
Instead of security personnel calling the landlords through inter-coms to allow visitors inside the premises, the myGate hand-held device can automatically send alerts on their mobile phones, allowing the inmates to instantaneously give their nod.
“We already serve 30 communities covering 15,000 flats and villas in Hyderabad. We are targeting to provide solutions to 400 communities this year.
