Mytrah Energy, Startup Village, Indian Angel Network and Villgro have joined hands to encourage start-ups in their entrepreneurial journey and nurture entrepreneurship.
While the wind energy company Mytrah has announced a seed capital to start the winner’s enterprise, Startup Village will provide support and Indian Angel Network, the key mentors’ role. Villgro will be the social enterprise and investment partner and Google Cloud platform will provide credits.
In a press conference Ravi Kailas, Chairman of Mytrah Energy, said, “Partnering with the incubators has further strengthened the purpose of our initiative to encourage the entrepreneurial stint. “We have passed through the stage of early entrepreneurship and know what it means to be in that phase as we grow to from a start-up.” The competition invites best minds from across the globe to present their entrepreneurial idea. The best idea will be provided with a seed fund of $100,00. The winners will be announced on August 30. George Paul, Vice-President of Startup Village, said, “They would join the initiative and extend necessary support in incubating the start- ups. The Startup Village wanted to support about 10,000 start-ups in 10 years but within two years it had received 3500 applications and incubated 700 start-ups.”
Venugopal Satyanarayana, Vice-President, Indian Angel Network, said, “With a network of over 300 members, it has invested in 72 companies and incubated 42 companies.”
