Narendra Kothari, Chief Executive Officer of IISCO steel plant, Burnpur, under the Steel Authority of India Ltd, took over as the Chairman and Managing Director of National Mineral Development Corporation here today.
Before he took over as the CEO of IISCO plant in October 2012, he was the executive director of chairman secretariat, coal import group, SAIL.
NMDC, India’s largest iron ore producer, has a production capacity of 32 million tonnes from its mines in Chhattisgarh and Karnataka, with a target of ramping it up to 40 million tonnes by 2014-15.
