Natco Pharma earned a net profit of Rs 14.53 crore (Rs 14.56 crore) for the fourth quarter ended March 31, showing flat growth for compared to last year. Its total income, however increased to Rs 130.64 crore (Rs 96.39 crore), according to the standalone results announced by the company on Tuesday.
For fiscal 2011-12, the Hyderabad-based company recorded total revenue of Rs 559 crore (Rs 484 crore), a jump of 15 per cent. Its net profit stood at Rs 60 crore (Rs 53 crore) for the entire year, an increase of 12 per cent.
The growth was driven by a 40 per cent increase in sales of API (Active Pharmaceutical Intermediates) at Rs 148 crore (Rs 106 crore) and a 22 per cent growth in sales of formulations, at Rs 282 crore (Rs 232 crore), according to a company press release.
While export revenue stood at Rs 183 crore (Rs 134 crore), the company's oncology division contributed sales of Rs 148 crore (Rs 121 crore).
