Nava Bharat Ventures Limited has posted a net profit of Rs 49.40 crore for the third quarter ended December 31, 2013 as against a net profit of Rs 57.15 crore for the corresponding quarter last year.
The company registered marginal increase in income of Rs 286.26 crore for the quarter, as against Rs 265.73 crore for the same period last year.
While the ferro alloys unit logged in higher numbers of Rs 150.62 crore as against Rs 115.12 crore, the power division has lower income of Rs 160.76 crore (Rs 164.09 crore), and sugar segment clocked Rs 40.45 crore (Rs 36.67 crore).
The company shares closed at Rs 157.40, down marginally.
