NCC Ltd has posted a net loss of Rs 3.03 crore in the first quarter ended June 30, 2014 against a net profit of Rs 10.53 crore in the corresponding period last year on a standalone basis.
The Hyderabad-based construction and infrastructure company achieved a turnover of Rs 1,535.24 crore during the quarter, including other income, up 10 per cent against Rs 1,407.76 crore in the same quarter previous year.
On a consolidated basis, the company posted a net loss of Rs 20.52 crore and a turnover of Rs 1,828.54 crore in the first quarter against a net profit of Rs 5.80 crore and a turnover of Rs 1,638.87 crore in the same quarter last year.
In a statement, the company said that it has so far in the current year secured orders aggregating Rs 596 crore and the order book stood at Rs 19,863 crore as of June-end.
NCC shares were down 11.55 per cent at Rs 62 on the BSE today.
